Why Florida Must Insist on Changes to the DS 200

Problems with ES&S' newly certified optical scanner led to lost votes in Florida's 2008 general election.  Because of our findings, the state of Wisconsin has already required changes to the new optical scanner's overvote feature.  The Brennan Center at NYU is also citing our findings in its request to New York state that it mandate similar changes.  Read a concise summary of our findings and our recommendations for changes to the system to prevent unnecessary vote loss.
